Mike Carter - Founder and CEO

My journey started in 2007 as an apprentice. After working many years in the construction field focusing on carpentry, I started to become laser focused on the electricians and their skill sets! I was immediately intrigued and decided to get into that field. I then worked four years as an apprentice to gain my journeyman's license in 2011. After being laser focused on small custom houses and light commercial, I decided to take a leap of faith and moved to North Dakota in 2015 to work on large scale projects. The projects ranged from single family homes to multi-family complexes as project foreman running 20 man crews.
I moved back to New Hampshire in 2021 receiving my Masters certification to chase the dream of running my own business!
My mission: To apply the knowledge I have learned with one thing in mind  --->  Deliver a quality job while striving for exceptional customer satisfaction.

Kolin Huntington - Journeyman

After three years with Harmon Electric, I had a desire to come back home to the great state of NH. I reached out to Mike with Carter Electric. After a great meeting, the decision was made: Carter Electric was the right fit for me! Here, I would bring my untouchable determination, vast knowledge, and great work ethic. My first day was July 1, 2024 where I met my new work colleagues. I bring a mix of high-end residential troubleshooting, big commercial wiring, restaurant wiring, MC wiring, top tear pipe bending, 3 phase 208v, and 3 phase 480v wiring experience to the team. I am excited to continue producing highly qualitative work while teaching the next generation all the tricks of the trade along with the right way of doing things.

Zack Carter - Apprentice

My name is Zack Carter. I am the son to Mike Carter, business owner of Carter & Sons Electric. I went to Plymouth Regional High School and graduated in 2024. I was part of the "extended learning opportunity" program in high school, my senior year.  When I was younger, I was always intrigued by my father and his art of electrical work. I was extremely excited when he opened his own business where I knew unequivocally what my career would be! I've completed my first year of electrical school and will continue for the next three years until I finish the electrical program to eventually test for my journeyman's license.

Jaxon Rineer - Apprentice

My name is Jaxon Rineer. I am a first year apprentice for the company of Carter & Son's electric. I am a senior at Plymouth Regional High School. For the past two years, I have been immersed in the "extended  learning opportunity" program" at the high school. In June 2025 my goal is to complete four years of electrical learning and pass the test for my journeyman license. I knew that I was destined to become an electrician when I met Zack in high school. He mentioned that he was planning on working for his father. Seeing the possibilities in front of me, I asked Mike if I could be part of the organization.
